Proofwise ("we", "our", or "the app") is a personal health experimentation app that helps you run N=1 supplement experiments using your own biomarker data. We are committed to protecting your privacy and giving you full control over your health information. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.
Proofwise is a personal self-experimentation tool designed to help you track supplement routines and analyze your own biomarker data. It is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or health condition.
The statistical results, effect sizes, confidence levels, and other analyses provided by Proofwise are for informational and educational purposes only. They reflect patterns in your personal data and should not be interpreted as medical advice, clinical evidence, or a substitute for professional healthcare guidance.
Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting, stopping, or changing any supplement, medication, or health regimen. Do not disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of information presented in this app.
Proofwise is designed as a local-first application. Your personal health data is stored on your device and under your control. Here is what the app handles:
TelemetryDeck and Sentry do not receive HealthKit samples, biomarker values, supplement names, template names, barcodes, notes, photos, or exported files from Proofwise. We do not use advertising identifiers or collect data for third-party marketing.
Proofwise integrates with Apple HealthKit to read health data you explicitly authorize, such as sleep analysis, heart rate variability (HRV), resting heart rate, blood oxygen saturation, and other biomarkers.
Proofwise uses limited analytics and diagnostics in production builds to understand app reliability and feature usage without collecting your health records.
When you choose to scan a supplement barcode for template matching, Proofwise sends
that barcode to Open Food Facts at world.openfoodfacts.org
and receives product details such as product name, brand, quantity, serving size,
ingredients, and categories. This lookup is only triggered when you scan a barcode.
Proofwise follows a local-first architecture. This means:
We do not sell or rent your personal or health data. Specifically:
Your local data is protected by the security measures built into iOS:
Proofwise is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Because Proofwise is local-first, you have full control over your data at all times:
If you are located in the European Economic Area (GDPR) or California (CCPA/CPRA), you have additional rights including data access, erasure, portability, and the right to opt out of data sales. Because Proofwise is local-first and does not store your personal health data on our servers or sell your data, your personal health data stays on your device. For any data rights requests, contact Proofwise — the independent developer that operates this app and acts as the data controller — at proofwise.app@gmail.com.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or on our website. The "Effective date" at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.
If you have questions about this privacy policy or your data, please reach out at proofwise.app@gmail.com.
